Starting to get excited

So this is our very first post about our upcoming adventure. If you’re reading this, you already know that we’ve bought the plane tickets, told our family, friends and colleagues that, for at least the next 18 months, our working days are coming to an end, and we’re starting to think about working through the spare tubes of toothpaste that have accumulated in the bathroom cupboard.

On March 16th 2018 we’ll be jetting off to Australia (via Delhi for a week) to experience the Commonwealth Games on the Gold Coast, and then buy a motorhome and set off on a Big Lap.

No-one is more surprised than we are that a long-held dream is about to become reality!

For now, we’re getting down to the list of jobs that need to be done in order for us to let the house for a year. If we let it unfurnished, we’ll need to put everything into storage, so this week Chris made a start on the CD cupboard.

We’re aiming to blog occasionally in the run-up to setting off, and more regularly while we’re away, so we hope you’ll follow us.
